There could potentially be emotional and social aspects that affect the client negatively and can have a ripple effect on daily functioning as well as scholastic functioning. The emotional and behavioural assessments can give an indication of these areas that need to be addressed. Examples could include: Anxiety, school refusal, bullying, trauma, grief, divorce, self-harming behaviours, eating disorders, substance abuse and acting out behaviours to name a few.

Self-report questionnaires, various projective techniques and interviews are used to gather information to get a holistic view of the client’s emotional functioning.
