Family therapy is the broad term referring to the support of families who are experiencing a range of difficulties or challenges. The aim is to empower the family members to manage family relationships, resolve conflicts more effectively, promote healthy family development and communicate more clearly. Families are dynamic and have to adapt to changes such as the birth of a child, diagnosis of a learning difficulty, divorce, remarriage, different parenting styles etc. that may require some support.
